LENTO: Contemporary Italian Deli & Wine Bar Interior Design in Ibiza
LENTO is a contemporary Italian deli and wine bar in Ibiza designed by Studio Rethink Ibiza. Conceived as a compact retail environment with a strong visual identity, the project brings together bespoke joinery, carefully selected finishes, and integrated lighting to create a welcoming space where functionality and design are equally important.

Design Concept
LENTO was conceived as a contemporary Italian deli and wine bar where architecture, materiality, and lighting work together to shape a memorable customer experience. Every decision was driven by the ambition to express a distinctive identity while making the most of the available space.
The palette combines RAL 6007 Bottle Green, RAL 1024 Ochre Yellow, and RAL 7044 Silk Grey. Bottle Green provides a refined backdrop, while Ochre Yellow introduces rhythm and highlights key architectural elements and bespoke furniture. Silk Grey softens the composition, allowing each colour to complement the others without overwhelming the interior.
European Oak (Quercus robur) was selected for shelving, worktops, and bespoke detailing. Its natural grain introduces warmth and texture, balancing the clean lines of the steel elements and reinforcing the tactile quality of the space.
Architectural Features
A defining element of the interior is the expanded stretch metal grid, incorporated into both the storefront and the suspended bottle display. Its lightweight structure provides transparency while preserving visual depth, allowing light to move freely throughout the space and reinforcing the project’s contemporary industrial character.
Custom display niches, illuminated with integrated *3000 K warm-white LED lighting*, present wines and gourmet products as architectural features rather than conventional retail shelving.
The refrigerated display counter, finished in European Oak and Bottle Green, acts as the focal point of the interior, combining practical requirements with a clean and carefully detailed appearance.
Bespoke Joinery
Every furniture element was designed specifically for the project to improve circulation, organise product presentation, and support the daily operation of the store.
Matte black powder-coated steel, restrained detailing, and carefully proportioned volumes create a timeless environment where furniture, displays, and architectural elements form a coherent whole rather than separate components.

Lighting Design
Lighting is treated as an integral architectural element rather than a finishing layer. The integrated *3000 K warm-white LED* system enhances the texture of the oak, emphasises the contrast between the colour palette, and creates a comfortable atmosphere suited to both daytime retail and evening service.
